Pop culture feeds us a constant diet of nostalgia for a better time that never existed. We imagine living in our picturesque cottages, oblivious to the litter, pollution, junk yards, feed lots, factories and power plants that enable our delusions. We are destroying the planet so we can sit in our hot tub and gaze out over the golf course while we send our crap downstream or offshore.

that even when we are together at a social

event our attention is captured by them. Even

the music is provided by a musician using digital

sound making devices.

THE DOUBLE

Wildlife art is almost always the depiction of a good shot. The big buck is standing sideways, the tom turkey up close, and two drake ducks ares hown flying together. When you shoot two ducks at the same time it is called a double. The next logical step wold be to shoot the painting. But being a painter, taking a third step would be to just paint it to look like it was shot.
