MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Dwight Eisenhower warned us about " the military industrial complex .  In order for war profiteers to profit there needs to be a war. Weapons systems must be tested in the field, and their effectiveness demonstrated. Gas tanks must be filled. Miscreants must be taught a lesson. And so, ironically, when George W. Bush was on that aircraft carrier, as far as the private military contractors are concerned the mission was accomplished.

Oligarchs Only

Today our representatives need a huge amount of money in order to get elected. Now with the Citizens United ruling the Supreme Court has opened the floodgates for Corporations to affect campaigns, effectively cutting the little guy out of the process. Nothing will happen that is not in favor of large corporations and the oligarchs until there is campaign reform.

FROM THE GROUND IT LOOKS THE SAME

Collateral damage is not the same as a terrorist attack because it does not intentionally target innocent bystanders. However, this is a distinction without a difference if it is your loved ones injured

or killed. We need to understand that the hatred engendered by accidental deaths often out weights the benefits of striking targets from 10,000 feet.

TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS

Here is a painting illustrating the trickle down theory of economics. If you don't restrict the job creators with taxes and regulations, their extra money will trickle down through the economy to everyone. Well the rich have been telling us this lie since Ronald Regan and we know how it has worked out for the rest of us.
